This is the bar of Stainless Steel Soap that sits at the left of my kitchen sink. A friend purchased it for me many years ago, because she knows I love a kitchen gadget! This lovely little bar of soap magically erases the smell of garlic from one's fingers! Just rub it over your hands under running cold water, and your fingers will be fresh! It also works on onion smell, and fish smell.
Now, some sources state that there is little scientific evidence to support the claim that stainless steel neutralizes or binds the sulfur compounds that cause the offending kitchen odors. I will tell, however, from personal experience, that this really does work! Here's an article that explains the possible science behind the phenomenon!
A bonus feature of this darling bar of soap, is that my children like to use it, and that means they are eager to help with even the smellier jobs of food preparation!
